  1. What is the plot or storyline of the story? (a short summary is fine here) The people of Kamala have a shaman who is the doctor and heals people from plants. A boy named Nahtahla is sick and he got healed from the shaman . Colonists come and say their god is more powerful than there’s. More people get sick from the colonists disease. They took away their wildlife for their medicine. It turned out  the trees were part of their medicine.
  2. Trees  are the resources of medicine.
  3.  The colonists tell others there god is more powerful. And medicine.
  4. What is the outcome or solution to the conflict? The medicine is the same there.
  5. How are trees used in the story? (main character, prop for action, metaphor or symbol?)  Trees are the resources of medicine.
  6. What is the overall message that is conveyed in the story? All people have the right to have their own beliefs.
  7. Colonists and people of Kamala have the same amount of wisdom.

Why Trees are important And the story of Smokey the Bear

Hello world today I will be showing you a project we are working on in class. It’s about why trees are important to the world. We learned about the story of Smokey the Bear which I will tell you. In Lincoln National Forest in New Mexico a really hot and dry day. A careless person forgot to crush out his cigarette and a tiny leaf lit up and spread around the national forest. It got so bad they had to call in soldiers from Fort Bliss Texas to fight the fire. Eventually everyone beat the fire and they saw a burned bear cub still alive they took him to the doctor the doctor fixed him up and he became famous he got sent to his new home in Washington zoo.

  2. Trees are the longest living animals on earth and never die of age.
  3. Tree rings can predict climate change.
  4. Trees improve water quality.
  5. A large tree can lift 100 gallons of water.

  7. Earth has more than 60,000 tree species.
  8. Some trees have been to the moon.
  9. Trees can defend themselves from attacking insects.
  10. Trees can help you find your way in the woods.

Why is it important to learn about trees and forests and the benefits we receive from them? It is important to know about trees and forests because we get oxygen from them.
